Yuka Kawai

Yuka Kawai (she/her) is a performing artist and choreographer currently based in the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from Central Washington University in with a BFA in Musical Theatre. A couple of her notable roles include Ariel in Footloose, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Somebody in Everybody, and Teresita in West Side Story. She has extensive training in multiple styles of dance. On the other side of the table, she has choreographed The Rocky Horror Picture Show and taught dance classes at Bellevue Children's Academy and Willows Preparatory School. Outside of theatre, you can find Yuka hyper-fixating over her constantly-changing favorite video game characters, in one of her multiple DND campaigns, or stopping every few seconds to ask if she can pet every single furry friend she comes across. Yuka has a deep passion for storytelling through collaboration. Every day, she immerses herself in the arts to collaborate with other imaginative individuals who see and interpret the world in creative ways, working together to create and share stories in all of its unique forms.
