Digital Production Coordinator Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Digital Production Coordinator to join a well-established and world-renowned Association. This will be a long-term, part-time, hybrid opportunity. As a Digital Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting with production of a publication of an online magazine dedicated to the personal and professional development of graduate students and postdocs. Primary responsibilities include managing content on the website, searching for, updating funding opportunities, constructing the bi-monthly newsletter, performing website testing, assisting with marketing and small projects.

Digital Production Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, upload, and layout web content, biographies, and promotions using the content management system.
  • Perform quality assurance before publishing web content and testing newsletter, including proofreading, checking links, verifying dates and deadlines for opportunities and events.
  • Track and update status of workflow from copyediting stage to web publishing the using editorial workflow system.
  • Update the home page with new stories and promotions, ensuring that nothing is out of date.
  • Search for, select, and format appropriate images to optimal size for the magazine website and in the newsletter.
  • Assist with marketing efforts to disseminate promotional material via social media.
  • Track and document newsletter performance.
  • Create bi-monthly newsletter, including preparing ahead by collecting content such events, opportunities, and stories of interest.
  • Ensure stories are promoted through social media.
  • Assist with small projects in collaboration with other team members, such as research, data entry, and web maintenance.

Digital Production Coordinator Qualifications:

  • College degree in communications or a related field plus.
  • 3+ years of digital publishing, administrative, and project management experience.
  • Marketing and social media experience a plus.
  • Good interpersonal, writing/editing, attention to detail, able to work independently, self-motivated.
  • Technical knowledge desired: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat.

Publication Production Editor Job Summary:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and detail-oriented Publication Production Editor to coordinate the digital and print publication a well-established and world-renowned Association. The Association’s publication is widely considered one the major benefits of membership. Its weekly magazine reaches more than 150,000 members, and its website receives more than 13 million page views per year. The Publication Production Editor is the heart of the news production process, ensuring the smooth flow of content from journalists to readers through both print and online channels. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication and coordination skills, and ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Publication Production Editor Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates production of print and digital articles, projects, and sponsored content with relevant writers, editors, web team, and creative designers.
  • Manages the print production schedule and ensures deadlines are met. Quality-checks laid-out PDF pages, circulates live pages, and incorporates necessary changes from editorial stakeholders.
  • Ensures output of complete, error-free stories and metadata for digital channels: web, mobile, app, and global edition. Publishes articles, multimedia content, and other news materials on the magazine’s website. Working closely with the online delivery teams, optimizes content for digital platforms, ensuring it is engaging, accessible, and search engine optimized. Make minor corrections and updates to published stories as needed.
  • Language edits, proofreads, and/or fact-checks assigned news stories and editorial content per established editorial standards. Reads content and corrects spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors, applying styling as necessary.
  • Coordinates creation and production of science-rich schematics and complex, data-filled infographics through production, advising editorial and production teams throughout the process to produce art that’s informative, accessible, and adaptable to all our platforms.
  • Supports the audience engagement editor (to be hired) in production of newsletters. Creates, checks, and coordinates distribution of digital edition emails with a third-party vendor.

Publication Production Editor Qualifications:

  • A college degree in chemistry or related science is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in similar publications will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience copyediting and proofreading multichannel content in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Project management experience: ability to work across multiple functional units and keeping projects on schedule.
  • Digital publishing experience. Knowledge of XML and HTML a plus.

Creative Producer / Project Manager Job Summary:

We are looking for a Creative Producer / Project Manager to join a global communications firm. This role will be the common thread on creative projects, working closely with account managers, planners, researchers, analysts, designers, copywriters, social media strategists and others. Creative Producers / Project Managers define and monitor scopes, budgets, workplans, milestones and timelines, as well as manage end-to-end production of deliverables. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communications and tenacious problem-solving abilities. While this is a senior position, it is very much a hands-on role working closely with creative teams as well as the account teams.

Creative Producer / Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, working directly with account and creative teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Develop and oversee project workplans, schedules, budgets and key communications to ensure the creative team and other key team members are fully briefed.
  • Determine all facets of the project to inform the creation of clear and detailed project briefs for the Creative team—answering all internal and external questions pertinent to the project.
  • Monitor and track the project; produce and distribute status tracking reports, provide proactive recommendations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Ensure agreed next steps are understood and completed.
  • Lead production of deliverables for print, digital, video and paid media assets (banners, social assets, etc.)
  • Manage communication and approvals between creative and account teams—ensure project handoffs are thorough and clear.
  • Manage and mitigate day-to-day problems, understand when (and why) to escalate issues, and ensure strong and effective communications in difficult and time-sensitive situations.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and client team members, establishing a role as a trusted resource and advisor.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other producers to develop consistent management practices and ensure effective support for creative teams.
  • Thoroughly QA all creative work product to ensure error-free deliverables.

Creative Producer / Project Manager Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of project management and production experience, preferably in a fast-paced agency environment, managing multiple creative projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, quick, assertive, measured, calm and collaborative.
  • Thorough understanding of creative process, brand standards, and print and digital deliverables.
  • Extensive experience in development of workplans, budgets and production schedules for print, digital, web and video.
  • Deep knowledge of production for print, digital, web and video.
  • Experiential activation and influencer experience a plus.
  • Understanding of archival and asset management, and thorough knowledge of required file type by asset (print, video, digital, etc.).
  • Knowledge of abilities and limitations of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Premiere).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with oversight and management of third-party relationships, including print, media, photography and video vendors.
