Casting Call: Latinx GED Graduate for Commercial Campaign
Job Details: We are casting for an advertising campaign that highlights the inspiring success stories of Latinx GED graduates who have positively impacted their communities. The campaign focuses on individuals who have completed their GED and showcases their journey towards educational achievement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in on-camera interviews and photo shoots to share your personal success story.
- Articulate how obtaining a GED has positively influenced your life and community.
- Collaborate with the production team to convey the message authentically and effectively.
Requirements:
- Age Range: 25-45 years old
- Ethnically Latinx
- Must have successfully obtained a GED
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Reside in or around New York, Philadelphia, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., or Boston
- Open to all gender identities
- Must be comfortable speaking on camera about your GED journey and its impact on your community
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in any of the following industries: Business, Healthcare, Construction/Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, Finance + Accounting, Technology, Human Resources
Compensation:
- Payment: Competitive compensation based on experience and screen time.
- Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered if required to travel for the shoot.
‘CURLS’ Feature Film Principal Role
- 40s to 50s.
- Latin male.
- Authentically of Dominican descent. Karlo is a dapper Dominican barber who came to America to build his dream of having a family and running his own barbershop.
- Open to different physiques, but ideally he is portly.
- When Avi stops by his shop desperate to get the same fade haircut in his “Papi Chulo” magazine, Karlo teaches him the importance of not just throwing away one’s roots.
- Dominican Spanish speaker a plus, but not a requirement.

Early November 2022: Film shoots in Brooklyn, NY.
