Red Sea Media, in collaboration with Fella Films, Envision Media Arts, and BondIt Media Capital, is thrilled to announce an open casting call for the upcoming feature film BALLISTIC. This gripping narrative, delves into the devastating impact of the military industrial complex on everyday families, underscored by a story of loss and revenge within the backdrop of global conflict.

Role Available:

• Male Lead (Supporting Role)

• Age: 18-22

• Ethnicity: Any

• Character Brief: The role demands a compelling performer capable of delivering a powerful, emotionally driven performance in a small speaking part that is crucial to the film’s narrative.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in all scheduled rehearsals as directed by the production team.

• Deliver a performance in line with the director’s vision and the character’s development arc.

• Collaborate with fellow cast members and crew to ensure a cohesive and dynamic portrayal.

• Attend costume fittings, makeup sessions, and promotional events as required.

Requirements:

• Must reside in Northern Ontario (proof of residency required).

• Aged 18-22, open to any ethnicity.

• Previous acting experience preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to portray complex emotions and a depth of character.

• Must be available for the entire duration of the filming dates without conflicts.

• Union and non-union actors are welcome to apply.

Compensation:

• Competitive pay rate, commensurate with experience.

• Travel expenses and accommodations provided for talent residing outside Sudbury, ON.

• Meals and on-set amenities included during filming days.

Storyline: Inspired by the true story of hope and resilience – a Little League baseball team of misfits dedicate their season to a player’s dying father. In doing so, they accomplish the impossible by reaching the World Series finals in a game that became an ESPN instant classic.

• We are casting an exciting feature film shooting this Summer in Toronto & the GTA!
• We’re searching across Ontario for male baseball players ages 11-14!
• Acting experience is not necessary but we are looking for kids who can listen and take direction!

Melissa A. Smith Casting is seeking a:

Casting Assistant

Start Date: Immediate – contract position with a minimum of 25 hours per week for 10 weeks with possible extension.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
Responsibilities Include:
• Managing casting logistics for audition sessions, including scheduling and communicating with agents and actors.
• Reviewing scripts and assisting in creating comprehensive and insightful breakdowns and audition material.
• Editing and uploading self-tapes and other media management.
• Checking actor availabilities.
• Generating and maintaining talent lists, master lists, lists of outstanding roles, etc.
• Assisting with various forms of research and outreach.
Skills, Requirements and Experience:
• Must have knowledge and experience working in the film and television industry.  
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently on many projects with varying deadlines and ability to anticipate priorities.
•  Elite communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
• Experience with Casting Workbook and Breakdown Express is an asset.
• Basic video editing experience
• Creative, positive and outgoing personality
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule, including some evenings.
• Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet service.
