Casting Call: Technical Assistant

Job Overview: Join our team as our Technical Assistant! This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is passionate about the dance industry. You will support all technical aspects of our touring activities, collaborate creatively with the Artistic team, liaise with external vendors, and assist with studio requirements.

Job Details:

  • Salary: Level 1 starting from £21,840

  • Hours: 35 hours per week (non-touring weeks)

  • Application Deadline: Wednesday, 26 June 2024

  • Interview Dates: Wednesday, 3 July 2024, and Thursday, 4 July 2024

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support all technical aspects of touring, including equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Work creatively with the Artistic team to ensure technical requirements are met for performances and rehearsals.

  • Liaise with external vendors to coordinate the procurement and maintenance of technical equipment.

  • Assist with studio requirements, including setting up and maintaining technical equipment.

  • Ensure all technical operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for the dance industry.

  • Basic understanding of technical aspects related to touring and studio setups.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work creatively with a team.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with external vendors and internal teams.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • Starting salary at Level 1 from £21,840 per annum.

  • 35 hours per week during non-touring weeks, with potential variations during touring periods.


Job Opening: Digital Communications Executive

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital marketing and communication strategies.
  • Manage and oversee the company’s social media accounts.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content regularly.
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure brand consistency.
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries promptly and monitor customer reviews.
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.
  • Analyze engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Digital Communications Executive or similar role.
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
  • Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical and multitasking skills.
  • A degree in Marketing or relevant field is preferred.

Compensation:

  • The starting salary for this position is £23,000 per annum on a pro-rata basis, with potential progression up to £27,000 based on performance and experience.

Casting Call: Contemporary Male Dancer for Phoenix Dance Theatre

Job Details:
Phoenix Dance Theatre is seeking an exceptional male-identifying contemporary dancer with a solid classical background to join our company for the Spring mid-scale tour, taking place from January to June 2024. This is a unique opportunity to work under the guidance of our new Artistic Director, Marcus Jarrell Willis (@mjwillis_project_inc), and be part of an innovative and evolving dance company.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in all rehearsals and performances for the Spring mid-scale tour.
  • Collaborate closely with the artistic director and company artists in research and development workshops.
  • Uphold the high standards of performance and professionalism associated with Phoenix Dance Theatre.
  • Engage in community and outreach programs as part of the company’s initiatives.
  • Contribute creatively to the choreographic and artistic process.

Requirements:

  • Male-identifying contemporary dancer with a strong classical foundation.
  • Proven performance experience in contemporary dance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic group setting.
  • Commitment to the full duration of the contract (Jan – Jun 2024).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
