Casting Call: Background Actor/Extra
Job Details: “Catamount,” a dynamic and engaging television series, is currently on the lookout for fresh faces to join its pool of background talent. This exciting opportunity is available for shoots taking place in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs, extending through March 2024. We welcome both SAG-AFTRA members and non-union individuals to apply. This is a paid position, offering a unique chance to be part of a vibrant production environment.
Roles Available:
- Members of the Latinx Community: We are seeking individuals of any gender, aged between 25-75 years, to portray various background roles that reflect the rich diversity of the Latinx community.
- Men of All Ethnicities: Aged between 25-55 years, needed to portray characters with a range of personas, including “tough criminal types” and law enforcement officers. We are looking for individuals who can bring authenticity and depth to these roles.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend costume fittings and makeup sessions as required.
- Follow direction from the director, assistant director, or production staff.
- Be prepared to work in various outdoor and indoor locations in the Philadelphia area.
- Maintain a professional demeanor on set and adhere to set etiquette.
- Be available for the entirety of the shooting schedule as required.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- Residency in or ability to travel to Philadelphia and its suburbs.
- Flexibility with schedules and availability for the duration of the project.
- Previous acting experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to take direction well and work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation Details:
- Competitive pay rates in accordance with industry standards.
- SAG-AFTRA members will be compensated according to union rates.
- Non-union members will receive fair market rates.
- Specific compensation details will be discussed upon casting.
