Disney’s upcoming live-action ‘Lady and the Tramp‘ movie to film in Georgia this summer.
News broke this week that Disney was looking to turn their classic animated movie Lady and the Tramp into a live-action movie. According to reports, Lego Ninjago director Charlie Bean will begin filming sometime this September in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia. The studio will also be filming the upcoming Disney movie ‘Jungle Cruise’ in Georgia this summer 2018. Disney has planned on having ‘Lady and the Tramp’ ready for release on their streaming platform in late 2019.
Lady and the Tramp is a 1955 animated musical dreamed produced by Walt Disney. It was the 15th Disney animated feature film and is based on “Happy Dan, The Whistling Dog” by Ward Greene. The movie centers around the story of a female American Cocker Spaniel named Lady who lives with an upper-class family, and a male stray dog called the Tramp. When the two dogs meet, they go on a romantic adventure and fall in love. The movie grossed $93.6 million in the United States and Canada and $187 million worldwide.
