Edward Norton‘s Motherless Brooklyn is now casting kid and teen actors in New York City.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on a scene filming on February 5th and 6th in New York City.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • GWCI is seeking SAG-AFTRA and NON-UNION African American Boys & Girls ages 9-13 to portray 1950’s NYC Boys Playing Football and Girls Playing Hopscotch for the film MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN. Exterior Winter 1950’s scenes.

About Motherless Brooklyn:

Edward Norton will direct and star in Motherless Brooklyn. According to reports, the movie is set in New York in 1954, a time of great change in the city. Norton plays Lionel Essrog, a lonely private detective afflicted with Tourette’s syndrome, who tries to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend. Armed only with few clues and an obsessive mind, Lionel slowly unravels closely guarded secrets that have major ramifications. It leads him through Harlem jazz clubs, Brooklyn slums and sets him against thugs and Gotham power brokers to honor his friend and save a woman who might his own salvation.

Motherless Brooklyn Casting Call

GWCI is seeking SAG-AFTRA and NON-UNION African American Boys & Girls ages 9-13 to portray 1950’s NYC Boys Playing Football and Girls Playing Hopscotch for the film MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN. Exterior Winter 1950’s scenes.

Tentative shoot dates are 2/5 and 2/6 (exterior, shoots in NYC area).
Fitting 1/22 or 1/23.

Pays the SAG BG rate of $166/8hrs

No wool allergies, no braces, and TRI STATE AREA locals only. Must have valid work permit and trust account.

Boys must be comfortable receiving a 1950’s hair cut.

-Child’s Height, weight,clothing size and shoe.
-Confirm you are in the Tri State area
-Please attach good quality photos, current non professional that clearly depict your child’s CURRENT LOOK!
-Boys, confirm you are comfortable with your child receiving a 1950’s hair cut
-Boys, may be asked to throw a football around. Are you comfortable doing that?
-Girls, may be asked to jump like hopscotch. Are you comfortable doing that?
