Bio - Lanny Broyles
Mr. Broyles is an accomplished classic actor, writer, director and stage combat choreographer and is an active member of the professional actor’s unions S.A.G./A.F.T.R.A. and Actor’s Equity. He holds a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts, Performance/Acting Specialization from California State University and trained in Los Angeles with Jack Manning in Michael Chekov acting methodology. Mr. Broyles has appeared in lead and supporting roles in numerous stage productions in the U.S. in venues including the San Diego Shakespeare Festival, Los Angeles Free Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespeare Festival and Santa Barbara University Repertoire Theatre. He also performed as guest artist the lead role of Pentheus in “The Bacchae” at the Richmond Theatre in London. In addition, he has appeared in several feature films and on television as guest artist on “The Mike Douglas Show” and episodes of “Fantasy Island”. Mr. Broyles has also trained various well-known celebrities to fence and perform theatrical combat including Robert Goulet, Richard Thomas, Tom Hulce, Alan Bates, Ron Moody and David Birney. In Japan, Mr. Broyles has appeared in commercials, music videos and worked as a voice actor on a number of Japanese animated films.
