NBC executive bashes Donald Trump in a now deleted Facebook post.
The NBC Entertainment chairman has called Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, “corrosive,” “toxic” and “demented.”
NBC executive Bob Greenblatt criticized Donald Trump on Facebook this week, saying the Republican presidential candidate’s “mind is so demented.” The post was later deleted and removed from Facebook.
“The sad state of affairs thanks to a pompous businessman turned reality TV star (whose show consistently ran LAST in its time period, by the way) who thinks speaking his mind is refreshing. It’s actually corrosive and toxic because his ‘mind’ is so demented; and his effect will unfortunately linger long after he’s been told to get off the stage,” said Greenblatt wrote, according to reports.
Apparently, Greenblatt was technically Trump’s boss from 2011 to 2015, when Trump’s TV series The Apprentice aired on NBC. The network later cut ties with Donald Trump when he declared his run for presidency last year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Greenblatt discussed the role of the media on Donald Trump’s political rise. “I don’t think that there’s really that much of a correlation of one to the other,” he said. “He’s been a prominent figure for so many years that it’s probably not surprising that he would embark on this kind of journey. But it is interesting that, you know, he was on the show for so long and now he’s sort of on the national stage the way he is.”
