John McEnroe biopic starring Shia LaBeouf is now casting a principal speaking role.
Are you looking for your next audition? Well, the casting company behind Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Assassin’s Creed and Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban are now casting a principal role in the new Shia LaBeouf movie about the legendary tennis player John McEnroe.
Considering Shia LaBeouf’s performance art pieces, controversial headlines, and acting career, it is no surprise to see he has been casted to play the notoriously temperamental tennis giant, John McEnroe in an upcoming biopic.
The movie will follow the intense rivalry between McEnroe and Swedish tennis player Bjorn Borg during the 70s and 80s.
Even though McEnroe is remembered as one of the great tennis players of all time, he is also known for having one of the worst tempers on the court. He would often be seen getting into shouting matches with the referee or aggressively swing his racket.
Directed by Janus Metz, the film is expected to debut in theaters in 2017.
Casting directors are looking for athletic Caucasian American boys ages 12 years old to play a young version of John McEnroe. Filming will take place in August 2016 in London.
