TNT ‘Animal Kingdom’ Open Casting Call

TNT’s Animal Kingdom open casting call in Oceanside, California.

Calling all aspiring actors. There’s a new crime drama filming in Oceanside, California and casting directors are looking for background extras to work on the new TV series.

The new TNT TV series Animal Kingdom will be holding an open call this week. The project is seeking to cast paid extras in the area for the upcoming movie shoot.

The show is set in a beach/surfer community and casting directors with Central Casting are looking for actors, models, and talent ages 9 and up with authentic beach city looks to work on the project and attend the open casting call.

The open casting call will be held this Friday at the local Oceanside Civic Center Library.

The casting call takes place Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Civic Center library. Here is the flyer with all the information.


About Animal Kingdom:

The new series is based on the 2010 Australian drama, Animal Kingdom. During the TCA press conference, producers reveleaed that the upcoming TV show will be more of a family drama and crime drama.

The original film was based on the Pettingill crime family. According to IMDb, the show will center around a 17-year-old boy who moves in with his grandmother and uncles in their Southern California beach town after his mother over doses. John Wells will direct the show. Animal Kingdom features Ellen Barkin, Scott Speedman, and Shawn Hatosy. The show is set to premiere on TNT this summer.
