Netflix’s The Get Down is now casting extras to play bouncers in New York City.
Netflix’s new series The Get Down is looking for buff African American men to play bouncers on a scene filming on Monday, February 24th and Monday March 7th and March 8th in New York City.
About Netflix’s The Get Down:
“The Get Down” centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According toVariety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of teens living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.

Seeking SAG-AFTRA/NON-UNION African American men to portray buff, built bouncer types on the Netflix series “The Get Down”. Must fit jacket size 42 or larger. Fitting tomorrow, works Wed. 2/24, Mon. 3/7, and Tues. 3/8.
