Netflix is now casting club goers for the new series The Get Down in New York City.
Netflix’s The Get Down directed by Baz Luhrmann is looking for men and women to play glamorous club goers. Filming will take place in late February and early March in New York city.
Casting directors are looking for talents that look like they are from the 1970s. Fittings are scheduled for Monday, February 22nd.
About Netflix’s The Get Down:
“The Get Down” centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According toVariety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of teens living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.

(MUST BE LOCATED IN THE TRISTATE AREA!) !!!Please note that the environment may require you to be around nudity, smoke, simulated sex. If you are comfortable with nudity yourself in the scene, please note but not required!!!

Must have 1970’s appropriate hair length!!! Longer, natural hair. No braids, no dreads, no extensions, no wigs, no shaved heads***
