Kanye West is holding an open casting call for his upcoming Madison Square Garden Waves premiere.
If you were unable to buy tickets to Kanye West’s Waves premiere at Madison Square Garden, here’s an alternative to consider.
Apparently Kanye West is hiring 1,200 extras and models to work on his fashion show that night, and casting directors have published a casting call looking for talent.
Onset Productions posted a casting call for paid extras, who can earn between $50 and $80 for their time. The website explains, “Yeezy Season 3 is launching a casting for up to 1200 PAID extras to participate in the exclusive Yeezy Season 3 fashion show and premiere of Kanye West’s upcoming album at Madison Square Garden on February 11th. Extras will be among the first in the world to hear the new album and meals will be provided.”
According to the job description, extras in makeup and wardrobe will “stand comfortably” throughout MSG during Kanye’s set. They’ll be instructed about how to position their body and even perform certain movements to augment the overall production. Those cast to take part will need to attend two New York-based rehearsals (including one at MSG) in addition to the show.
Applications are currently being accepted.
Kanye tweeted his excitement yesterday (Feb. 4) that his MSG show had sold out in a mere 10 minutes. Well, now you can catch his performance and get paid for it.
