Netflix’s ‘The Get Down’ NYC Casting Call for a Flea Market Scene

Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for a ton of background extras to work on the new Netflix TV series The Get Down now filming in New York City.

Casting directors are looking for African American, Hispanic and mixed men and women of all ages 18 and older to work on a flea market scene. All actors must attend a fitting on Thursday, December 10th. Filming will take place between Friday, December 11th and Wednesday, December 16th

About Netflix’s The Get Down:

The Get Down centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According toVariety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of teens living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.

Seeking NON UNION African American/ Hispanic/ Mixed Men & Women 18yrs-99yrs for a Flea Market Scene (Exterior Summer) in BAZ LUHRMANN’S Netflix series THE GET DOWN. Fitting Thursday 12/10. 2 Days of filming. POSSIBLE SHOOT DATES: Fri 12/11, Mon 12/14, Tues 12/15, Wed 12/16

***MUST HAVE TIME PERIOD APPROPRIATE HAIR LONGER, NATURAL HAIR…no braids, weaves, shaved heads, or wigs.***

MUST BE 18 or OLDER.
