This program is a docudrama miniseries about the remarkable real-life stories behind the infamous Wild West legends: men like Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Butch Cassidy, and Buffalo Bill. It weaves intimate, rarely seen personal details about these larger-than-life characters with the dramatic context of post-Civil War America to show how, in just thirty years, the opportunity of land turns the United States into the “Land of Opportunity.”
The show fuses cinematic storytelling with breath- taking action sequences to tell a dynamic, adrenaline-fueled story that's dynamic, ground-breaking, and just plain fun. It catapults us into the violent world of Cowboys, Outlaws, and Gunslingers. The ground runs red with the blood of their stories, from JESSE JAMES to BILLY THE KID to BUTCH CASSIDY. These men were the first to live the American Dream, and the first to die for it.
