Man Kills Himself on Despicable Me Ride in Universal Studios

A man shoots and kills himself inside the Universal Studios theme Park in Los Angeles.

According to reports, a man is dead after fatally shooting himself at the Universal Studios theme Park yesterday. Variety reports, a spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department said that a gun shot rang out at 2:24 p.m. near the Despicable Me ride.

A Universal Studios spokesperson told reports that the park is still open.

“The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed there was a possible suicide on our property. We are working closely with law enforcement and corporate security on this ongoing investigation. The safety and security of our guests and employees are always of the utmost importance,” the spokesperson said. [Variety]
