Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz were tasked to updating the classic musical.

The first trailer for Columbia’s modern-day version of the classic musical debuted Wednesday, offering the world a quick glimpse of what people can expect around Christmas.

Annie centers on 11-year-old orphan Annie (Quvenzhane Wallis), who has encounters with wealthy businessman Benjamin Stacks, played by Jamie Foxx. Benjamin, who is running for mayor, is looking for a feel-good story to boost his election chances. While Cameron Diaz, plays a mean-spirited orphanage owner Miss Hannigan.

The Michael J. Fox show director, Will Gluck, directed the feature film. The movie is produced by Jay Z and WIll Smith. Even, Jay-Z included an autotuned and pop version of the songs that made him famous, “It’s a Hard Knock Life” and “It’s a Hard Knock Life”.
