The Award for the Most Pirated Artist of 2013 Goes to Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars is officially the most pirated artist of 2013.

The singer’s music was illegally downloaded 5.8 million times all of 2013, according to the stats of  Musicmetric.

This major total puts Mars above Rihanna, whose music was subject to 5.4 million illegal downloads, and Daft Punk, who came in third at 4.2 million downloads. Also on the list was Justin Timberlake (3.9 million) and Flo Rida (3.5 million). (Huffington Post)

Peter Jackson’s first Hobbit Movie, was downloaded 8.4 million downloads topping ‘Django Unchained’ and ‘Fast and Furious 6’.

‘Game of Thrones’ takes the cake for the most pirated television series for the second year in a row. The season three finale alone was illegally downloaded 5.9 million times. HBO beat out all other series including AMC’s Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and Showtime’s ‘Homeland’
