Nathan Fillion Joins James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ as Green Lantern.
In an exciting casting announcement, Nathan Fillion has officially joined the cast of James Gunn’s highly anticipated superhero film, “Superman: Legacy,” as Green Lantern. This news has been confirmed by Vanity Fair, revealing that Fillion will portray the character Guy Gardner in the upcoming movie. While Fillion’s role may not be the central Green Lantern character, fans are thrilled to see him take on this iconic role. Alongside Fillion, Isabela Merced and Edi Gathegi have also been added to the cast, set to play Hawkgirl and Mister Terrific, respectively.
Joining Fillion, Merced, and Gathegi are the recently announced lead actors David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, who will portray Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The film will explore a younger version of Clark Kent as he navigates his dual identity and seeks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his upbringing in Smallville, Kansas. Gunn has dedicated the film to his late father, expressing his heartfelt connection to the project. In a tweet, he shared, “I lost my Dad almost three years ago. He was my best friend. He didn’t understand me as a kid, but he supported my love of comics and film, and I wouldn’t be making ‘Superman: Legacy’ now without him.”
