The casting call for ULTA’s Holiday Scout commercial will occur in June 2023. Here are the important dates and specifications:

  • FIT/GLAM: June 5, 2023: This day is dedicated to fitting, hairstyling, and preparing for the shoot.
  • SHOOT DATES: June 6-8, 2023 (multi-day booking not guaranteed)

The actual filming will occur over three days, during which you’ll have the chance to showcase your unique hair and beauty on camera.

ULTA is seeking a diverse range of individuals to represent various hair types. Here’s a breakdown of the specific requirements:

  • Real Multi-Generational Families: ULTA seeks families spanning different generations, emphasizing the beauty and bond between relatives.
  • Real Siblings/Cousins (Ages 12-65): ULTA wants to capture that authentic bond on screen if you have siblings or cousins who share a special connection.
  • Real Friend Groups (Ages 16-65): Grab your closest friends and participate, showcasing the power of friendship and inclusivity.
  • Individuals with Red/Orange Toned Hair (Ages 16-65): ULTA wants you to represent this unique and captivating style if your hair flaunts vibrant red or orange tones.
  • Individuals with Bleached Blonde Hair (Ages 16-65): Whether you went platinum or opted for a stunning blonde shade, this is your opportunity to showcase your bleached blonde hair.
  • Individuals with Pastel Colored Hair (Ages 16-65): If you rock pastel shades like lilac, mint green, or baby pink, ULTA wants to feature your stunning and creative hair color.

ULTA values the talent they work with and offers competitive rates for their Holiday Scout commercial. Here’s a breakdown of the compensation:

  • 8-Hour Salon/Prep/Fit Day: $250 + 20% (rep fee)

This compensation covers the time spent preparing for the shoot, including fitting and salon services.

  • Adult Session: $500 + 20% (rep fee)

For adult participants, this fee is provided for the actual shoot day.

  • Adult Usage: $3,500 + 20% (rep fee, guaranteed at the time of booking)

Adult participants will receive this guaranteed payment if selected for usage in the final commercial.

  • Minor Session: $500 + 20% (rep fee)

Minors involved in the shoot will receive this fee for their participation.

  • Minor Usage: $1,500 + 20% (rep fee, guaranteed at the time of booking)

Minors selected for usage in the final commercial will receive this guaranteed payment.

Before submitting your talent application, please note the following requirements:

  1. No Overrated Talent: ULTA is looking for genuine individuals with authentic hair types and relationships.
  2. Non-Union Talent: To be considered, you must be a non-union talent.
  3. LA Locals: Talent must be available to work in LA as locals.
  4. Willingness for Hair Changes: Models should be open to potential cuts and color treatments. Each model will discuss and approve specific details before any changes are made. Models must agree to hair changes before booking.
  5. Valid Work Permit & Coogan for Minors: If you are a minor, you must have a valid work permit and Coogan account.
