To ensure authenticity, the casting team is requesting a current selfie with today’s date on a piece of paper. This will help them determine how your hair and facial hair look for hair and makeup purposes. To maintain the 1980s vibe, there are specific guidelines for each role:

Males: If you’re interested in playing a pedestrian or salon client, please refrain from cutting your hair or shaving your sideburns between now and the filming date. Embrace the natural look and let your hair grow wild!

Females: For the ladies, it’s important to stick to natural hair colors. Shorter styles, layers, and bangs are encouraged. Avoid artificial nails or brightly colored nail polish, and opt for a more natural and neutral look. Let your inner ’80s diva shine through!

It’s worth noting that these guidelines will also apply to the casting of another 1980s Netflix show in the upcoming months, so keep these tips in mind if you’re hoping to snag a role in that production too.

You could be cast as a salon client with freshly finished hair if you’re lucky. Imagine the excitement of leaving the salon with a fabulous new hairstyle. Channel your inner fashionista and showcase your ’80s glam.

If you’re available, there’s an opportunity to attend a fitting session on either May 18th or 19th. This will allow the costume department to find the perfect wardrobe for you. However, if you ca unable to attend the fitting, don’t worry; they will make arrangements for you to fit on set.

Filming for “Hysteria!” will take place on May 23rd in Conyers, GA. Once you’re booked for a role, you will receive an email the evening before your filming date with all the important details, including the location, time, and wardrobe instructions.

One great aspect of this casting call is that all vaccination statuses are considered. So, whether you’re fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated, or unvaccinated, you still have a chance to participate in this exciting production.

Casting TaylorMade (Casting™) is searching for:

Background artists to play SALON CLIENTS & PEDESTRIANS for an upcoming film date. Filming will be Tuesday 5/23, Fitting 5/18 or 5/19 (ideally we will have you pre-fit – if unavailable to pre-fit, you will fit on set).

“Hysteria” is set in the 1980s – so it is very important that you upload a current selfie with today’s date on a piece of paper. We need to see exactly how your hair/facial hair looks for hair/makeup purposes. Because of the nature of this show, we ask:

Males: Please do not cut your hair or shave your sideburns between now and filming

Females: We ask for your hair color to be a natural color. Shorter styles, layers and bangs are great! Please also no artificial nails or bright colored nails. No extremely long nails. Try to stick to as natural and neutral as possible.

Side note > We will begin casting the other 1980s netflix show in the upcoming months so these rules will be the same for that production as well!
