A ‘Dodgeball’ sequel starring Vince Vaughn is reportedly in development
Reports suggest that a sequel to the 2004 film Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is being developed. It is said that the movie is in the initial stages of development at 20th Century Studios, with Vince Vaughn set to play a leading role once again.
Jordan VanDina will write the script for the sequel of Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story based on an idea by Vaughn. It is uncertain if Rawson Marshall Thurber, who wrote and directed the original movie, will be involved in the sequel.
The movie “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” tells the story of Pete LaFleur and his team, who participate in a dodgeball tournament in Las Vegas to save their gym from being taken over by the corporate health fitness chain Globo Gym, run by White Goodman. Made with a budget of just $20 million USD, the sports-comedy made $168 million USD worldwide and is now considered a classic film from the 2000s.
