Since its debut in 1987, Street Fighter has become one of the highest-grossing and most beloved video game franchises ever created. For over thirty years, the game has been followed by six sequels and several anime series, comic books, and manga adaptations. Since the 1994 Street Fighter film, numerous live-action adaptations have been released to audiences worldwide.

According to Deadline, any projects developed by Legendary Entertainment will be co-created and produced in partnership with Capcom. Capcom is actively engaged in the development of an upcoming feature film.

While also managing other projects, Legendary Entertainment is concurrently developing a sequel to the blockbuster film Dune, per the article.
