Jack Black and the Farrelly Brothers are again joining forces for a funny new comedy set to shoot in metro Atlanta, entitled ‘Dear Santa.’
Jack Black is returning triumphantly to metro Atlanta, this time for the Farrelly Brothers’ hilarious holiday-inspired film “Dear Santa”.
The “School of Rock” celebrity has previously filmed parts of his two Jumanji movies in Atlanta- 2017’s “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” and, most recently, 2019’s record-breaking box office hit, “Jumanji: The Next Level”.
Last week, Black was spotted in downtown Decatur shooting footage for his upcoming film. To tease the movie’s theme, he posted an Instagram photo from a Christmas village set!
Working with the Farrelly Brothers for a second time, Jack’s first experience dates back to 2001 when he appeared in their hit movie “Shallow Hal” alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Jason Alexander. The Farrelly Brothers have made some of the most beloved film comedies, including “There’s Something About Mary,” “Dumb and Dumber,” and “Kingpin.” The dynamic producing team also captured the 2011 comedy “Hall Pass” in Atlanta, featuring Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis.
According to Deadline, “Dear Santa” follows a young boy who inadvertently sends his letter addressed to Father Christmas to the Devil instead as he jumbles up some letters.
Joining Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, PJ Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker, and Kai Cech is the amazing Austin Post who rounds out this extraordinary cast!
Hollywood star Jack Black is set to bring everyone’s favorite villain, Bowser, to life in the highly anticipated film adaptation of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”!
