Apple's ‘Tetris' Film is an Engrossing, Intense Exploration of the Game's Evolution

Jon S. Baird is the director, and Noah Pink wrote this script that follows Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers – a Dutch businessperson who had to acquire rights to publish Tetris on Nintendo Game Boy and other gaming consoles. Set during the Cold War, Nikita Yefremov portrays Alexey Pajitnov, a Soviet software engineer credited with inventing the renowned game.
The film vividly illustrates the Cold War tension that arises from Pajitnov's status as a Soviet government employee.
