Despite being one of the most highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe releases, ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania’ has earned a less than favorable rating on Rotten Tomatoes, taking second place to its lowest-rated MCU film.

Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is the highly anticipated fifth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This action-packed movie follows Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) as they explore the Quantum Realm, where they encounter strange creatures and embark on an incredible journey.

The film also stars Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors. It is directed by Peyton Reed and will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.

Critics have acclaimed the film with an impressive 63% approval rating, yet despite this early positive reception; it remains to be seen how audiences will respond “fresh” score. Ant-Man 3 has earned an impressive 53% score as of this writing! With over one hundred fifteen glowing reviews, this film has attained official ” rotten ” certification,” placing it as the MCU’s second-lowest scoring film, earning low scores on all fronts. It is only one behind 2021’s Eternals. ComicBook has organized the films according to their certification ratings, with higher-rated films at the top of the list. Black Panther has reached a historical rating of 96% Certified Fresh, and Avengers: Endgame is not far behind: Endgame and Iron Man are second at 94%, and Spider-Man: No Way Home and Thor: Ragnarok in third with 93%. Eternals comes in last at 47%.

Despite not receiving the most fantastic reviews from critics, Disney’s third installment of Ant-Man is projected to hit a whopping USD 95 million domestically and an even more impressive USD 225 million worldwide. The film marks the commencement of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
