Ted, a foul-mouthed teddy bear with a heart of gold, is set to make a comeback as a television series on Peacock. According to reports, the program will be the prequel to the 2012 film.
Deadline reports that Seth MacFarlane will produce the program with Erica Huggins through his Fuzzy Door production company. According to Deadline, MacFarlane is currently discussing a return to voice Ted. It’s doubtful, however, that Wahlberg and Kunis would reprise their roles for the series. In 2015, there was a sequel to the film Ted 2.
The originalTed starred Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. The story follows John Bennett (Wahlberg), a man whose childhood wish comes true when his teddy bear, Ted (MacFarlane), comes to life. The two grow up together and form a brotherly bond, much to the chagrin of John’s girlfriend, Mila (Kunis).
MacFarlane directed the original 2012 picture, in which Wahlberg and Kunis played Ted, with MacFarlane himself as Ted providing voice and motion capture.
