What’s Leaving Netflix in April 2022?

Welcome to our first look at what’s going to be removed from Netflix in the United States in April 2022. A large number of animated films and a slew of Pokemon titles are also scheduled to depart

For those who aren’t familiar, Netflix removals occur because the streaming service does not own all of its content. In many cases, it simply rents movies and television programs for a set length of time.

Join Project Casting to access casting calls you can apply to right now.

As Netflix describes it:

“Netflix partners with content providers to license streaming rights for a variety of TV shows and movies.

We also produce in-house or acquire exclusive rights to stream content such as Orange Is the New Black, Stranger Things, BoJack Horseman, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and many more. These productions are called Netflix originals.”

We categorize removals differently than other firms in that we list the titles on the day of removal. Other sites tend to describe removals as the “last day of streaming.” This implies you’ll need to view any of the films before midnight on the day before your removal, which is if you want to see them.

Typically, we get the initial batch of removals with a press release that will cover what leaves on the first of each month. We’ll see removal notifications show up on titles in March 2022. Then, at the end of this month, we’ll receive another list.
