AMC Will Reopen with 15 Cent Tickets This August 20

AMC plans to reopen with 15 cent this August 20.

After shutting down for five months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, AMC will finally reopen in select cities on August 20. The is running a promotion called “ in 2020 at 1920 Prices”, which is a callback to the year AMC opened its first locations. The theater chain will offer tickets for 15 cents when they reopen on August 20. Films available will include Wars Episode V: The Strikes BackBack to the FutureGhostbustersGreaseBlack Panther, and Inception. New movies including The New Mutants and Tenet, which will hit theaters on August 28 and September 3, respectively.

Theaters will open mostly in areas with a lower spread of where state officials allow. AMC also added new rules, which will be enforced, such as mandatory masks. The theater will also clean and implement social distancing, which will reduce the seating capacity to maintain social distancing.

AMC Theaters has faced several issues since the theater chain closed due to the pandemic. The company has also considered reopening in the past, but this is the closest we've seen the theater chain opening
