Vanessa Soto

I have a minor in Theatre Arts- Acting and Directing from California State University, Northridge ( CSUN). I enjoy acting and portraying the characteristics of each Character I am cast as. In the past I was originally cast as Kleonike ( Lead role) for the Lyisistrata play at my college and I played other roles such as Chorus Women. I have also played other roles at CSUN for plays and in various acting scenes in my theatre and acting courses. For example I played Portia from the Merchant of Venice. I learned all her character traits and every classroom actor had to draw their lines in a sketch book to help us memorize the lines and understand the meaning. I was always able to memorize my lines after reading them and practicing them. My teachers and classmates were able to see me perform without notes and having memorized my lines. I also rehearsed an entire play with my classmates named, The Other Shore. I also have auditioned. I went to castings in Los Angeles at talent agencies where I was told to read a monologue and act it out and I did very good and was selected. These are just a few examples. I also have had my acting headshots taken twice. I should have the copies of those headshots in my files. In addition I was accepted to study Theatre Acting at the University of Southern California and chose to attend CSUN. I can provide my headshots if requested along with my acting resume.
