Nearly one thousand years after a cataclysmic event forced humanity's escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become human's new home. The amazing and world renowned General Cypher Raige, played by Will Smith, returns from a tour of duty to his family, to find his 13 year old son, Kitai played by Jaden Smith, a soon to be father. When suddenly, an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft and they are forced to crash land on what is now an unfamiliar territory, Earth. While Kitai's father lays dying in the cockpick, Kitai must travel across hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. Kitai's entire life, he wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, it will be his opportunity!
