AMC’s ‘TURN: Washington’s Spies’ Episode 9 Speaking Roles Casting Call

Date:

AMC’s ‘TURN: Washington’s Spies’ is now casting speaking roles for the next episode filming in Central Virginia.

AMC’s television series TURN: WASHINGTON’S SPIES is filming in the Central Virginia area, and Arvold Casting is seeking actors who look authentically from the Revolutionary War period for speaking roles. TURN is adapted from the nonfiction book Washington’s Spies by Alexander Rose. The story is centered on a band of young soldiers and civilians who were part of the secret spy ring during the Revolutionary War.

NOTE: Actors must be available for their fittings in Richmond, VA no less than 24 hours prior to their first scheduled work date. Preferably, where possible, 48 hours before.

All principal (speaking) roles are either local hires (within 60 miles of Richmond, VA) or modified local hires (within 500 miles of Richmond, VA).

Seeking the following speaking roles for episode 209:

[MACDOUGAL] 40s, Male, Caucasian. Character faces welcome. A confident opportunist who has recently acquired an inn. His accent should have a British or Scottish flavor to it, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR] 3 scenes, 19 lines

[FARMER] 30s – 50s, Male, Caucasian. A chatty and witty traveling civilian farmer who knows how to tell a good joke. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR] 1 scene, 7 lines

[TANNER] Late 20s – 30s, Male, Caucasian. A raw, rough, unsavory Queen’s ranger who can intimidate any man or woman. Authentic British or European accent required. STUNT EXPERIENCE A PLUS. HORSEBACK RIDING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. [CO-STAR] 5 scenes, 17 lines
