America’s Next Top Model is back and VH1 casting directors are looking for you.
The CW canceled ANTM is back on VH1 and casting directors are looking for aspiring models to work on the new season of the hit fashion model TV series.
ANTM featured dozens of fashion stars, with models Janice Dickinson, Kimora Lee Simmons, Twiggy and Vogue editor Andre Leon Tally serving as judges at various points in its long run. According to reports, executive producer Ken Mok — who has run the show since its first season and recently produced Jennifer Lawrence movie “Joy” — negotiated the VH1 deal. Tyra Banks remains on board as an exec producer of new episodes of the long-running reality franchise but will not return as host.
“We could not be more excited to bring back and breathe new life into one of the greatest unscripted franchises on television,” said Scott Koondel, chief licensing officer for CBS Corp. “VH1 is the perfect partner for this new endeavor and we hope this is the beginning of a long relationship.” VH1 has ordered 14 episodes of the new-model “ANTM.” The show will move to New York and likely feature a new panel of judges. There’s no word yet on a premiere date but it is expected to be this year.
