Content usage will be (web only). The Bleacher report will film in the home and interview the selected fan.
Date: October 10th (tech scout) & October 11th (filming day)
Rate: $900 ( $500 to film in home + $400 appearance fee)

As a fan, you likely have a lot of passion for the things you love. That passion can be a great asset when it comes to acting. After all, being able to tap into your emotions is one of the keys to giving an excellent performance. Here are some tips on how to use your passion to your advantage when acting:
- Use your passion to fuel your preparation. When you’re passionate about something, it shows in your level of preparation. The more prepared you are, the better your chances of giving a great performance. So if you’re a fan of a particular actor or actress, spend some time studying their work and learning about their process. What do they do to get into character? How do they approach a role? The more you know about their process, the better equipped you’ll be to apply it to your acting.
- Use your passion to inform your choices. When you’re passionate about something, it’s easier to make choices that are true to the character or story you’re trying to portray. If you’re a fan of a particular genre of film, let that inform your choices when it comes to acting. If you’re a fan of romantic comedies, don’t be afraid to infuse your performance with some of the same humor and heart.
- Use your passion to connect with your audience. One of the best things about being a fan is that you have a built-in connection with your audience. They’re fans, just like you, so they already have an emotional investment in what you’re doing. Use that to your advantage by playing to your audience’s passions. If you’re a fan of a particular sports team, for example, wear their colors or mention them in your dialogue.
- Use your passion to push yourself. Being a fan is great, but it’s also important to challenge yourself and push yourself out of your comfort zone. If you’re a fan of a particular actor or actress, don’t be afraid to try and emulate their style or approach to acting. It’s okay to be inspired by someone else’s work, but ultimately you need to make the role your own.
- Use your passion to have fun. Acting is fun, so don’t forget to enjoy yourself. Use that knowledge to your advantage if you’re a TV show or movie fan. What do you like about the characters? What do you find funny about the situations they get themselves into? Use those things as a starting point for your performance and let your passion shine through.
