CASTING AUTOTRADER USERS IN THE GREATER TORONTO AREA WHO HAVE USED THE APP/WEBSITE TO RESEARCH OR BUY A CAR FOR THEMSELVES, OR FOR OTHERS!
We’re seeking people in the Greater Toronto Area, ages 17- 54, who used AutoTrader when researching or buying a car either for themselves, or to help a friend or a family member.
Do you use the AutoTrader app? Do you always do a ton of research before buying a vehicle? Did you use the app to help your child or parent purchase a vehicle? If so, we want to hear from you!
PLEASE NOTE:
– This is a NON-UNION project. No acting experience is required, however, you should be outgoing and comfortable being filmed and interviewed.
– To apply, you MUST be legally eligible to work in Canada.
– To participate, you MUST be able to film in Toronto.
– If shortlisted, you MUST be available for a brief online interview with the director on December 21st or December 22nd.
– If selected, you MUST be available for a wardrobe appointment on January 6th or Jan 9th. You will only be required briefly on one day. (about 2 hours)
– If selected, you MUST be available for filming on January 20th. You will only be required for one day of filming.
– If booked, you will receive $75 for a wardrobe appointment, and $750 for one day of filming. If your footage is in the final commercial, you will receive an additional $1,500 – $2,000 for its use.

Commercial Acting Tips
When it comes to commercial acting, the most important thing is to be yourself. That means don’t try to act like someone else or pretend to be something you’re not. Be natural and allow your personality to come through. If a script calls for you to be upbeat and bubbly, let that shine through in your performance.
It’s also essential to research the product or service you are advertising and understand its target audience. Knowing who the commercial targets is can help you portray a believable character that resonates with viewers. Additionally, understanding what type of message needs to be conveyed will boost confidence during the audition process.
Finally, practice makes perfect! Spend some time rehearsing lines before auditions, and don’t be afraid to try out different script interpretations. It’s essential to remain flexible in the audition process, as you may need to alter your performance if requested by casting directors.
Above all else, enjoy the experience! Commercial acting is an excellent way to hone your craft and build your confidence, so make sure to have fun with it. With enough practice and dedication, you can become a successful commercial actor in no time.
