Now Casting: ‘Star’ Casting Call for a Salon Scene

Fox new TV series STAR is now casting extras for a salon scene in Atlanta, Georgia.

Central Casting is now casting uniformed police officers, kid actors and salon patrons for scenes filming on Friday, January 27th and Saturday, January 28th in Atlanta, Georgia. Casting directors are casting the following types:

  • -Uniformed Police- Looking for Men, Late 20’s-40’s, to portray Police Officers. Must be CLEAN shaven.
  • -Young Girl- Looking for a young African-American Female, 8-9 years old, with braids for a featured scene.
  • -Salon Patrons- Looking for a few African-American Women, 30’s-40’s, to portray women at the hair salon.

About Star:

Star tracks down her sister, SIMONE (newcomer Brittany O’Grady), and her Instagram bestie, ALEXANDRA (newcomer Ryan Destiny), and together, the trio journeys to Atlanta to become music superstars.  Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award, Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Queen Latifah (“Bessie,” “Bringing Down The House”) plays CARLOTTA, a surrogate mother to the young crew.

-Uniformed Police- Looking for Men, Late 20’s-40’s, to portray Police Officers. Must be CLEAN shaven. Please submit your sizes.

Shooting Saturday 1/28 in Atlanta
-Young Girl- Looking for a young African-American Female, 8-9 years old, with braids for a featured scene.
-Salon Patrons- Looking for a few African-American Women, 30’s-40’s, to portray women at the hair salon.
