It is time to let your inner child to freak out. Before Harry Potter, even before The Hunger Games, there was no book series like R.L. Stine’s children horror books, Goosebumps.
Goosebumps, were a wildly popualr in the 1980s and 1990’s and when the series spawned a television series, it was huge. There were extremely high ratings every Saturday.
But, this is not the first time the Goosebumps film was in the making. In 1998, Tim Burton was attached to make a feature film but, it was never actually completed.
Now, the project is finally in the works and casting directors are now casting.
CL Casting recently announced that they are seeking talents to fill several roles in the upcoming project.
Jack Black will star in the upcoming feature film. Producers for the project have leased a 130,000-square foot studio space. It is rumored that producers hope “Goosebumps” will spawn sequels.
The studio space for 10 months with a three-year renewal option, according to CREDC. Hartsell said word of the movie production came in the past week (Rockdale News) .
