Independence Day 2, ‘Independence Day: Forever’ Open Casting Call in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Production for ‘Independence Day 2’ is ramping up. According to One Headlight Ink, ‘Independence Day 2’ is going to film in Albuquerque, New Mexico under the code name IDR. Which means, On Location Casting is holding an open casting call for actors, models, and talent to appear in the new ‘Independence Day 2’ movie.
According to Screen Rant, ‘Independence Day 2‘ will be called ‘Independence Day Forever’ and will have two separate parts, Part 1 and Part 2. In addition, ‘Independence Day 2’ director revealed he will take a modern filmmaking approach to the sequel instead of using special effects.

They take place 20 years after the original movie. After the first wave of aliens, a distress call was sent to bring more alien reinforcements to ravage the Earth, Entertainment Weekly reported.
According to Emmerich, humanity is aware that the aliens will return.
“And they know that the only way you can really travel in space is through wormholes. So for the aliens, it could take two or three weeks, but for us that’s 20 or 25 years,” he said.
The first ‘Independence Day’ movie featured Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Mary McDonnell, Judd Hirsch, Margaret Colin, Randy Quaid, Robert Loggia, James Rebhorn, Vivica A. Fox, and Harry Connick, Jr.The film focused on a disparate group of people who converge in the Nevada desert in the aftermath of a destructive alien attack and, along with the rest of the human population, participate in a last-chance counterattack on July 4, the same date as the Independence Day holiday in the United States. The screenplay was written by Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin.
Independence Day was the highest-grossing film of 1996. In the United States, Independence Dayearned $104.3 million in its first full week, including $96.1 million during its five-day holiday opening, and $50.2 million during its opening weekend. All three figures broke records set by Jurassic Parkthree years earlier.
It has been over a decade since Independence Day has hit theaters. The possibility of a sequel had long been discussed. In October 2011, discussions for Will Smith returning to the series due to Fox’s refusal to provide Will Smith the $50 million he demanded for two sequels.
According to reports, Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, and Jeff Goldbum will star in the upcoming feature film.
On Location Casting is looking for extras to work on several scenes starting April 28th through June 24th. Extras will be paid $72 for 8 hours and overtime after 8 hours. Filming will take place in Albuquerque, New mexico and some scenes will be filmed in UTAH. Production will pay for travel and housing.
Currently, casting directors are looking for kids and teens to play campers. Kids that are selected will be featured alongside the lead actors as a group of kids from camp.
