“Catfish: The TV Show”Casting directors are currently casting for the next season of MTV “Catfish”.
Technology has exploded in the last twenty years. Computers were once the size of living rooms, and now they are able to fit in the palm of our hands. But, with the added convenience of technology it allowed for many people to find love in a new and unique way. Currently, people that are making relationships online never actually meet their new “significant other”. Further, what was once a dinner and a movie has become intimate iPhone text messages. Basically, for many people the advance of technology has removed all the face-to-face interaction.

So, it begs the question, “How do you young people who’ve embraced the digital age find love?”(MTV). And MTV decided to do figure \ that out.
Since Maury’s infamous line “You are not the father” hit the television screens has the world never been hooked to the pursuit of the “truth” as much as MTV’s “Catfish”. The Hollywood Reporter reported “Jumping from its previous week’s showing of a 1.3 rating with adults 18-49, Nielsen shows the hourlong unscripted series matched a series high of a 1.7 rating with adults 18-49. It topped all other cable broadcasts in the key demo. In total viewers, Catfish also matched a high with 2.7 million viewers (up from 2.1 million). (THR).
