‘Loki’ Season Two Trailer Sets New Disney+ Records with 80 Million Online Views

Date:

The highly-anticipated trailer for the second season of the hit Disney+ series, “Loki,” was released on Monday, creating a frenzy among fans and shattering records for the streaming platform.

Disney revealed that the trailer amassed an impressive 80 million views, making it the most-watched online debut ever for the brand.

The captivating trailer opens with a thrilling scene featuring Mobius (played by Owen Wilson) and Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) facing a peculiar case of time slipping within the TVA (Time Variance Authority) – a phenomenon that should never occur. Moreover, the teaser introduces viewers to O.B., portrayed by Ke Huy Quan, a previously unnamed character.

Joining the talented cast in the upcoming season are Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, the female Loki time-variant, along with Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Jonathan Majors, and Neil Ellice.

The official synopsis for the new season reads, “Loki embarks on a thrilling journey through an ever-expanding and increasingly perilous multiverse in pursuit of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth behind the concept of free will and glorious purpose.”

Despite the team behind “Loki” keeping tight-lipped about specific plot details, in November 2022, Tom Hiddleston teased in an interview with Good Morning America, “Season 1 concludes with Loki returning to the TVA after a distressing encounter with Sylvie. He’s left with numerous unanswered questions.”

Deadline reported the talented lineup of directors for season two, including Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw, and Kasra Farahani. Eric Martin returns as showrunner, while executive producers include Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin R. Wright, Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Eric Martin, and Michael Waldron.

Season two of “Loki” will premiere on Disney+ on October 6. Fans can watch the gripping trailer for the upcoming season above. As Marvel Studios’ most-watched series, the new installment will surely deliver an exhilarating and unforgettable experience.
