Marvel Studios has posted the first set of extras casting calls for the highly anticipated movie Guardians of the Galaxy which is set to begin shooting in the United Kingdom, this summer. Chris Pratt stars in the movie as Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, Dave Bautista plays Drax the Destroyer, Zoe Saldana is set to play Gamora, Lee Pace will play the film’s villain, and Michael Rooker will play Yondu. James Gunn is directing.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a planned American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the tenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Filming is scheduled to begin in June 2013 at Shepperton Studios in London, England. The film is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2014, and will be released in 3D.
