Navy Officers Open Casting Call for Michael Bay’s New TV Series ‘The Last Ship’ in San Diego

Casting directors will be holding an open casting call for Michael Bay’s latest TV series on TNT, The Last Ship.

The Last Ship centers on a global catastrophe that nearly destroys the world’s population, forcing the crew of a naval destroyer to confront their new existence in a world where they are among the last survivors.

The Last Ship is based on the William Brinkley novel and will feature Dane as Tom Chandler, the commanding officer of the USS Nathan James who’s married with two young daughters.

The Hollywood Reporter recently highlighted on the new series.

Last Ship hails from Platinum Dunes’ Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), with Hank Steinberg (Without a Trace) and Steven Kane (The Closer) serving as executive producers. Steinberg and Kane co-wrote the pilot, which Bay will produce. Rhona Mitra, Adam BaldwinMichaela McManus and Tracy Middendorf co-star.

The Last Ship has all the elements of a big Hollywood blockbuster, from its epic storytelling to its top-notch cast headed by the perfect leading man, Eric Dane,” said Michael Wright, president and head of programming at TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies. “Michael Bay and his fellow executive producers have shaped William Brinkley’s story and characters into an exceptional drama full of action, suspense, tragedy and triumph. The Last Ship is smart, fun television that takes you on a great ride.”

***ATTENTION SAN DIEGO NAVY OFFICERS****

We are holding an Open Casting Call for ACTIVE NAVY OFFICERS and Personnel Stationed on the Naval Base in San Diego.

This is for the Michael Bay TV show THE LAST SHIP.

The Open Call is this Wednesday, October 30th on the Naval Base from 11am-5pm in Building 548 across from Pier 6.

You must bring IDs to fill out an I-9 form (Passport, Driver’s License + Social Security Card, etc.).

This will work sometime during the last 2 weeks of November.

If you are unable to attend please send a picture and contact info to CentralNavy@gmail.com.

Pass this info on to any Navy Officers or Personnel you might know in San Diego.

We are holding an Open Casting Call for the Michael Bay produced TV Show THE LAST SHIP.

The open call is this Wednesday, oct 30 from 11am-5pm in Building 548 across from Pier 6 – formerly known as the Pierside Cafe.

We need Navy Sailors (male and female, all ranks, enlisted or retired) are needed as background actors.

You MUST have base access.

No civilians allowed on base.

This will work sometime during the last 2 weeks of November.

Please bring your documents needed for I-9 verification. See you there!
