Sweetbitter is now casting extras in New York City.

Casting directors are seeking talent to work on the new Starz TV series filming in New York City between October 30th and December 22nd. Producers are casting the following roles:

  • Seeking SAG-AFTRA and Non Union to portray front of house restaurant staff (servers, backwaiters, bartenders), Caucasian or Asian, 20s-40s age range,
  • Seeking SAG-AFTRA and Non Union to portray kitchen staff (line cooks, prep cooks, butchers, dishwashers, pastry chefs), all ethnicities, 20s-50s age range

About Sweetbitter:

Sweetbitter, executive produced by Danler, Zicherman and Brad Pitt’s Plan B, follows 22-year-old Tess who, shortly after arriving in New York City, lands a job at a celebrated downtown restaurant. Swiftly introduced to the world of drugs, alcohol, love, lust, dive bars, and fine dining, she learns to navigate the chaotically alluring, yet punishing life she has stumbled upon. This is the story of a young woman’s coming-of-age, set against the rich and grimy backdrop of exclusive restaurants, evoking the possibility, beauty, and fragility of being young and adrift.

Restaurant Staff Casting Call

Seeking SAG-AFTRA and Non Union to portray front of house restaurant staff (servers, backwaiters, bartenders), Caucasian or Asian, 20s-40s age range, for new STARZ series Sweetbitter, based on the novel by Stephanie Danler.

Filming will take place between October 30th-December 22nd. Looking for people who can work on a regular basis on the show.
