Netflix’s upcoming film from Sam Esmail, ‘Leave The World Behind,’ has just cast Kevin Bacon and Farrah Mackenzie in the lead roles.
Kevin Bacon (City on a Hill) and Farrah Mackenzie (United States of Al) have both been added to the star-studded cast for Sam Esmail’s upcoming Netflix movie, Leave the World Behind. In this highly anticipated feature film, they join already-announced actors Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, and Myha’la Herrold.

Rumaan Alam’s novel Leave the World Behind will take you on an enthralling journey of a family vacation interrupted by two strangers with news about a looming blackout. As danger rapidly approaches, both families must determine how to survive this crisis while learning more about their place in this threatened world.
Esmail, alongside Roberts, Lisa Gillan, and Marisa Yeres Gill from Red Om Films, is collaborating with Chad Hamilton to produce the screenplay of Esmail Corp. Moreover, Tonia Davis is executive producing through Higher Ground Productions along with Alam Danny Stillman and Nick Krishnamurthy from Esmail Corp. Bacon has made a name for himself as an Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner who stars in Showtime’s City on a Hill. He has also had recent roles in SMILF and I Love Dick, while his film credits include You Should Have Left and Patriots Day.
Mackenzie is currently seen on CBS’ hilarious sitcom, United States of Al, and has appeared in Amazon’s Utopia. Additionally, she had a role in Steven Soderbergh’s 2017 movie Logan Lucky.
