About Netflix’s The Get Down:
“The Get Down” centers around the emerging music scene in the 1970’s. The 70’s featured the birth of punk rock and hip hop. The show will be set in New York City which is also the home of an excssive crime rate and corruption. According toVariety,“The Get Down” will focus on a group of teens living in the South Bronx as music develops and explodes in the borough around them.

Casting directors are looking for African American men and women to work on a church scene for the new Netflix series The Get Down filming in New York City. A fitting will take place on Monday, January 18th and works January 19th until March in New York City.

Seeking SAG-AFTRA AND NONUNION to portray African American/Hispanic Church Goers for the Baz Luhrmann Netflix Series “The Get Down”. Fitting Monday 1/18, works 1/19 and POSSIBLY ONGOING work until March in NYC area. (MUST BE LOCATED IN THE TRISTATE AREA!)

Please include in the body of your email two photos: 1) shoulders up that clearly depict your current look, and 2)a full body photo that clearly depict your physique.

-Your sizes: Men- height, weight, neck x sleeve, waist x inseam, jacket, shoe. Women- height, weight, bust x waist x hip, dress, shoe.
-Avail for all dates (must have full day/night availability for all filming dates)
