Denzel Washington‘s new movie Fences is now casting speaking roles in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Want to work in a movie alongside Denzel Washington? Well, Denzel Washington is now casting actors, models, and talent to appear in his new movie Fences.
Casting directors are looking for teenage actors to play a younger version of Denzel Washington and Joe Canewell’s daughter. Denzel Washington is looking for actors to show a wide range of emotions.
Here’s a breakdown of the casting call:
- African American teenage boy, (age 13-15), to play Troy Maxson at 14. Must look like a young Denzel Washington. We are looking for your ability to show a range of emotions.
- African American teenage GIRL (age 13-15), to play Joe Canewell’s Daughter, Troy’s (at 14) girlfriend. We are looking for your ability to show a range of emotions
- African American GIRL (age 7 – 9) to play 7 year old Raynell. Speaking part; several scenes.Must be available to shoot the film between April 18th and June 10th in Pittsburgh.
About Fences:
Fences is the story about a former basketball athlete who struggles to provide for his family as a trash collector in the 1950s Pittsburgh after being denied to join the Major Leagues due to being African American. The original movie took place in 1987 with James Earl Jones as the lead role. Denzel Washington won a Tony in 2010 alongside Viola Davis.
Denzel Washington will star alongside Viola Davis in the HBO film adaptation.
