Stephen King’s ‘Castle Rock’ Open Casting Call

Stephen King’s Castle Rock is now casting extras in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Casting directors are seeking talents to work on scenes filming between Sunday, September 24th through Thursday, September 28th. Producers are seeking the following types:

  • We will be looking for Men and Women to portray Prisoners, Prison Guards, Prison staff, Visiting Family Members and Pedestrians. All talent must be 18+ years old.

About Castle Rock:

Castle Rock is an upcoming American psychological horror web television series created for Hulu. It is based on the stories of Stephen King, intertwining characters and themes from the fictional town of Castle Rock. J. J. Abrams will serve as executive producer of Castle Rock, along with Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason who also serve as writers. Production for the new series is expected to begin in August 2017, though a release date has not been confirmed. Melanie Lynskey, Andre Holland, Jane Levy, Sissy Spacek, and Bill Skarsgård will star in the series.

Castle Rock Open Casting Call

Mosser Casting will be handling Background Casting on the new Hulu series, Castle Rock for the West Virginia portion of filming. Created by the master of horror and suspense, Stephen King, this series is being produced by Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

“A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock.”

Filming will take place between Sunday, September 24th – Thursday, September 28th. We are looking for people who have great availability during this time frame to possibly work 1-4 days. Must have a car to get to set as this is filming on location in Moundsville, West Virginia, which is approximately 1.5 hours outside of Pittsburgh. Pay is $8.00 per hour and time and a half after that. Please expect 12- 14 hour days that will start in the very early morning. Fittings will be required for some roles.
