The wildly successful Kickstarter campaign for ‘Reading Rainbow' may not have been the best idea for LeVar Burton.
With Reading Rainbow having enough money to buy several islands, and enough cash to reBoot, LeVar Burton went to Funny or Die for help producing the beloved show's new theme song.
That may have been a huge mistake. While the new song starts off the same, things start to get dark really quick and soon you see a disturbing preview of LeVar Burton‘s true intentions, to take over the world of books. That poor butterfly had no chance.
LeVar Burton recently launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to bring Reading Rainbow to every child, everywhere through the expansion of the Reading Rainbow tablet app that he and RRRKidz developed following the show's cancellation 5 years ago. The original goal was to raise $1 million dollars, but, with 28 days still remaining for the campaign, it has already raised nearly $3.5 million.
